Team Frady Archery Adventures

Archery is one of the oldest forms of hunting and recreational shooting sports. Jim and I both have a passion for archery and bow hunting. To be a successful bow hunter everything has to play out as if scripted. You have to learn to be one with nature, to be consumed with your surrounding, to be able to draw and release your arrow with little motion and no sound. Bow hunting will teach you all these things along with patience and persistence.

Team Frady Archery Adventures was established in 1996. Jim and I are both professionals in the shooting sports, hunting and outdoor industry. Even with this to our credit we are both blue collar workers and hold jobs outside the industry. Jim is a machinist in a commercial diesel turbo charger plant, and I am self employeed.

Jim began bowhunting at the age of 12. I was hunting on my own at 18 and began bowhunting in 1993.

Shooting 3-D Archery Tournaments was a way to better hone our skills of shot placement and judging yardage. We, along with our daughter Leah (aka Bud) competed for many years in local, state and national (ASA) tournaments and have 6 championships to our credit.

We run Team Frady much like a Sprint Cup Racing Team. Sponsors play a huge part in making our dreams become reality by helping us achieve our goals.

Our youth and women’s programs are our first priority. We are both certified Level 1 Archery Instructors and North Carolina Hunter Education Instructors. We teach archery and our “Outdoor Classroom” programs for Schools, Camps, Boy Scouts of America, 4-H Clubs as well as the National Wild Turkey Federation's Jakes Days and camps for the terminally ill.

Our women’s programs include instructing classes for the NWTF Women in the Outdoors programs (WITO) and the N.C. Wildlife Resource Commissions Becoming and Outdoors Woman program (BOW). Without our sponsors' help we would not be able to continue the programs we have worked so hard to build. We are very loyal to the companies we work with and they in turn are very supportive in helping Team Frady chase our dreams of promoting 3-D archery and bow hunting. Due to our sponsors' support, the Team Frady hauler covered 7 states last year promoting archery, bow hunting and wildlife conservation.

The number of new and “old standby” products are overwhelming in the hunting world. If you don’t think so, visit a Bass Pro Shop and walk through the archery/bow hunting department. It’s confusing to most consumers; all these products work well or they wouldn’t be on the shelf.

With this website our goal is to offer technical info, product reviews and to give you information that will help you on your next product purchase, hunting trip or archery event.

We will feature our hunts and the outfitters we use on our hunting adventures in future articles.

We hope you enjoy this site and that it answers some of your questions. We also hope is gives you the information you need to choose the right products for your next Archery Adventure.
